A Liberator bomber called "Beautiful Betsy" crashed in 1945 flying from Darwin to Brisbane. The wreckage was not found until 1994. It sat on a remote hillside for Liberator before being found by a ranger checking some back burning. There is bits and pieces of this plane strewn over a large are. Despite being found 14 years ago and being open to the public nothing has been taken.
